Future Plans

There is much to be conveyed, however, I do not have much time. On Sunday, my brother and I will head toward Purulia, a remote village in West Bengal. There, we will be doing similar research. We will be there for two weeks and internet access is unlikely. So, please check back in that time for updates.

I am very excited about this leg of the journey as it is a very rare experience. I am certain it will have a significant impact on me. I look forward to communicating with you. Please leave any thoughts you might have.

Dear Habir,

I've come up for air after finishing what I hope will be the final portion of the book. If so, I can send in the full manuscript and wait for the editing process. I'm exhausted.

One comment on your interaction with local people. For me the key is humility, the state of mind and spirit that confers full dignity on the people we meet. That to me means the openness to learn from them rather than thinking I have the answers to their problems. In my experience, people such as you're describing know a whole lot more about how to cope with life -- and life skills -- than I do. I'm not saying that's your experience but it does remind me of mine.

So glad you're there, Ken
